Nursing

Craig Hospital offers a summer externship program for nursing students between their Junior and Senior years of nursing school. The externship is 248-320 hours and the paid stipend is pro-rated on the completed hours and range from $3000-$3500. You will work with a preceptor providing nursing care to patients while learning the role of team leading and total patient care management. All shifts are available and you work the schedule of your preceptor. The Summer Externship Program is limited to Colorado students in Colorado Schools of Nursing. Physical Therapy

Craig's Physical Therapy Department has long-standing contracts with the following three schools only:

• University of Colorado
• University of Kentucky
• Regis University

Each university makes the decision as to who will intern. Internships are contracted from September through May and last 10 to 12 weeks. No internships are offered in the summer. For further information, contact:

Speech Therapy

The Speech Department's internship program is full time from 10 to 15 weeks. Students must have completed all coursework and other internships before completing an internship at Craig Hospital. Acceptance of student interns is dependent upon available supervisors. An in-person interview is required prior to acceptance. Occupational Therapy

The Occupational Therapy Department accepts Level I and Level II internships. No summer internships are available. Craig Hospital has established contracts with certain universities. Check with your school to see if they are an accepted institution. For further information, contact:

Therapeutic Recreation

Therapeutic Recreation offers internships year-round for students in any accredited Therapeutic Recreation program. The internships are for 15-weeks and are full time. For further information, please contact:
