Citizens for Patient Safety Citizens for Patient Safety is a global grassroots organization. Our agency builds alliances between and within diverse communities united in a common purpose by building bridges between consumers, the medical community, insurance and the legal community to improve the healthcare system and quality that patient's receive. 
Colorado Hospital Report Card The Colorado Hospital Report Card has the primary purpose of ensuring that statewide hospital data and clinical outcomes are made available to the general public in a clear and usable manner. The Colorado Hospital Report Card will utilize standardized quality and clinical outcome measures that are endorsed by national organizations, with established standards to measure the performance of healthcare providers and hospitals.
Consumers Checkbook Provides independent, nonprofit consumer information on top doctors and hospitals in the Boston, Chicago, Delaware, Puget Sound, San Francisco, Twin Cities and Washington DC areas. 
Consumers Union Non-profit publisher of Consumer Reports. 
Department of Health and Human Services Hospital Compare Tool that provides information on how well hospitals care for patient with certain medical conditions or surgical procedures.

Federation of State Medical Boards The Federation of State Medical Boards (FSMB) is a national non-profit organization representing the 70 medical boards of the United States and its territories. The FSMB's mission is to continuously improve the quality, safety, and integrity of health care through developing and promoting high standards for physician licensure and practice.

The public can search physician’s medical background by: name, license number, board certification, specialty area, or city.
Rocky Mountain Patient Safety Organization Denver-based nonprofit that collects and analyzes data from clinicians and healthcare organizations to improve quality. Search engine that locates physicians, nursing homes, hospitals, and insurance.
