Accreditations and Licensing

Craig Hospital is licensed as a General Hospital by the State of Colorado Dept of Public Health and Environment. We are classified as a Long Term Acute Care Hospital (LTAC) by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Craig is accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHO)- latest survey July 2011.

As a premier leader in the field of rehabilitation for more than five decades, Craig Hospital serves patients from all 50 states and several foreign countries. Craig is federally designated as a Model Systems Center for
SCI and TBI, has been ranked in the Top 10 Rehabilitation Hospitals for 24 consecutive years by U.S. News
and World Report
, and has twice consecutively achieved the highly coveted Magnet® Recognition. Craig is also pioneering cutting-edge research and advances in adaptive technology.

The American Nurses Association (ANA) honored Craig Hospital in January, 2011 in the "Rehabilitation Hospital" category for achieving outstanding nursing quality, based on the nursing performance measures they collect and report to ANA's National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators(r) (NDNQI(r)), the only national database of nursing quality indicators. The awards were announced today at the 5th Annual NDNQI Conference in Miami, attended by more than 1,000 nursing and health care quality leaders.
