Craig Community Corner

Craig Hospital conducted a Community Needs Assessment in January 2013 to evaluate the health of persons with spinal cord injury (SCI) and/or brain injury (BI) living in a defined area to identify high priority health needs and develop strategies to address identified needs. The 2013 Craig Hospital Community Needs Assessment report represents a combination of qualitative and quantitative data gathered from focus groups of staff and former patients and a survey of former patients living in the selected area. The data from the survey were compared to statewide data obtained from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) and the Colorado Health Institute (CHI), as well as national benchmarks from the Healthy People 2020 report.
